Overview

Milos Uzan led Desert Pines to the 2020 Nevada State Championship game before transferring to Dream City Christian in Arizona and then Prolific Prep in California, where he was named the Grind Session Most Valuable Player. Ranked No. 52 in the ESPN 100 and No. 1 in Nevada, the four-star recruit committed to Oklahoma. As a freshman, Uzan earned Big 12 All-Freshman Team honors after starting 24 of 32 games and averaging 7.6 points and 3.0 assists on 47/41/77 shooting splits. His sophomore season brought a larger role, as he started all 32 games and averaged 9.0 points, 4.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds. Uzan then transferred to Houston and blossomed as a junior, averaging 11.4 points, 4.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds with 45/42/78 shooting splits, earning Second-Team All-Big 12 recognition while helping the Cougars reach the 2025 NCAA Championship game. He scored a career-high 25 points in the Big 12 Tournament championship win over Arizona. After testing the 2025 NBA Draft process and attending the combine, Uzan returned to Houston for his senior year, averaging 11.1 points, 4.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds on 38/34/74 shooting splits across 37 games en route to All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.

Analysis

Uzan is a poised, high-IQ floor general who knits an offense together through smart reads and crisp passing. He runs pick-and-roll action with patience and has one of the better assist-to-turnover ratios in the country. His defensive effort is a real asset, and his motor never stops. After a strong shooting season as a junior, Uzan’s efficiency dipped notably as a senior, falling to 34 percent from three and 38 percent from the field overall. He doesn’t have an explosive first step or a dynamic handle, which limits his ability to create separation and get to the rim. If the shot doesn’t fall, Uzan can become too easy to defend, and his free-throw rate has been low throughout his career, further capping his scoring upside.

Projection

Uzan projects as a backup point guard who can manage an offense, defend multiple positions and keep turnovers to a minimum. His basketball IQ and connective passing will always have value, but his ability to stick in an NBA rotation hinges on whether the three-point shot translates consistently. If it does, he can carve out a long career as a steady floor general in the mold of Tyus Jones or Jose Alvarado.
