Overview
Lamar Wilkerson started his career at Three Rivers College, where he earned NJCAA All-America Honorable Mention before climbing into Division I. He spent three seasons at Sam Houston, stacking back-to-back Conference USA All-Conference First Team honors in 2024 and 2025. Then he made the jump to Indiana, choosing the Hoosiers over Kentucky for his final year, and he delivered right away. Wilkerson averaged 20.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals in 34.0 minutes per game, shooting 46.3%/37.8%/88.8%. He buried 104 threes on the year, becoming the second Hoosier ever after Steve Alford to make 100 in a season, and set a single-season program record with 70 makes in Big Ten play. His 44 points and 10 threes against Penn State both stand as program marks. He bumped his scoring to 23.2 points per game once conference play hit and finished as a Second Team All-Big Ten pick and an NABC All-Great Lakes Region First Team selection.

Analysis
Wilkerson is a knockdown shooter with deep range and a quick release. His elite free-throw stroke backs up the idea that the shooting is sustainable at the next level. He can get hot in a hurry and carry an offense for stretches. He has the size to shoot over closeouts and finish through contact. There is room to grow into more of a table-setter as his role expands. Defensively, Wilkerson has the length and physical tools to develop into a reliable wing stopper, and his knack for jumping into passing lanes shows the instincts are already there.

Projection
Wilkerson projects as a movement shooter and floor-spacing wing. His mix of size, deep range, and pure shot-making fits any roster that needs instant offense and gravity on the perimeter. NBA comparisons to him can be made to players like Caris LeVert and Keon Ellis. Wilkerson can be an immediate contributor whose shooting alone earns him minutes.
