LAS VEGAS — The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Brooklyn Nets, 87-78, in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Sunday.
The Clippers set the tone early and raced to a 31-18 score in the first quarter, allowing them to approach the rest of the contest with calm. The Nets responded in the second quarter, but their 15-13 score wasn’t enough to even consider a potential comeback.
The Nets woke up in the second half, and after a forgettable third quarter in which they scored eight points, they outscored Los Angeles by a 37-25 margin in the final 10 minutes. However, that was not enough to complete the turnaround, and the Clippers won the contest.
Jordan Miller led the Clippers with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists. Kobe Brown finished with 13 points and six boards. RayJ Dennis and Elijah Harkless each had 10 points coming off the bench. Cam Christie had six points while shooting just 2-for-8 from the field.
Keon Johnson had 27 points for the Nets, and he also added six rebounds and four steals. Dariq Whitehead notched 10 points and four rebounds. Noah Clowney posted 13 points and seven boards. Jalen Wilson had 12 points.
