DannijoPro celebrates NBA partnership with launch event

DannijoPro hosted an event to celebrate their partnership with the NBA at the Chase Center in San Francisco on March 8.

The DannijoPro Launch Event was held on March 8 at Miller & Lux at Chase Center.

On March 8, DannijoPro hosted an event to celebrate their partnership with the NBA at the Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif. Among the star-studded guest list included members of the Golden State Warriors organization, such as Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Steve Kerr

The event marked the launch of DannijoPro – a label of licensed premium NBA merchandise designed by the sisters behind Dannijo

Members of the guest lists included Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

Co-founder Danielle Snyder said Dannijo purposely did the event in the Bay Area with the Golden State Warriors on International Women’s Day.

“The sky’s the limit for what women can do,” Snyder said. “It’s also a really cool time with what’s happening in the WNBA and women’s sports in general. It’s really an example of the strength, determination and power of being a woman.”

In March 2020, Snyder moved to the Bay Area to start a new chapter in her life.

She was drawn to the organization during their 2021-22 championship run being inspired by the team. The first time she felt alive post-pandemic was after Snyder went to a Warriors game at the Chase Center.

As she immersed herself in the Warriors fandom, she started making outfits to wear on game days to showcase her fandom, but soon realized that no one was servicing what she was looking for.

“There wasn’t any NBA merchandise specifically for women in the market that I wanted to wear,” Snyder said. “It’s part of why I fell in love with the idea of creating a business at the intersection of fashion and fandom.”

Snyder said the partnership between the NBA and Dannijo was organic. The Warriors got behind her vision, which materialized naturally. The team connected her to the NBA, and the rest was history.

“It’s a remarkable community,” Snyder said. “Both the NBA and the Warriors have been amazing to us.”

After the event, Snyder realized that there was an appetite for what they were building – bringing fashionable fandom to the sports industry by combining the power of style with the magic of sports. The backing of relationships and authenticity hit the nail on the head and created the idea that fandom and sports are a powerful mix.

“Creating fandom merchandise through the lens of fashion is something that’s wanted and needed,” Snyder said.

Snyder said in terms of building their relationship with the NBA, DannijoPro hopes to do more events and experiences in the future.

“I’d love DannijoPro to be synonymous with a new era of premium, fashionable fandom both within and outside of the NBA,” Snyder said.
